For all the fans of the brilliant REC franchise, the full trailer for REC 3: Genesis has just been released  and it looks pretty darn good!
Paco Plaza’s REC 3: Genesis serves as a prequel to the franchise and is heading for theatrical release in 2012.

As you can see from the stunning new trailer, Paco Plaza has moved away from the hugely succesful found footage genre.

With distribution from  Fox Searchlight REC 3: Genesis seems to presenting itself on a much larger scope.

In contrast to the first two films dank settings, REC 3: Genesis is set at a wedding reception, the salient change in setting seems to give the film a brand new terrifyingly atmospheric dimension.

In the past four years, 17-year old actress Saoirse Ronan has enjoyed quite an interesting round of films from Atonement to Hanna, and even a great performance in the The Lovely Bones, even if the film itself left something to be desired. Currently Ronan is shooting Byzantium and will also star in the adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s The Host, as well as the teenage assassin flick Violet & Daisy with Alexis Bledel. Now Variety has word that the actress has also signed for How I Live Now, an indie drama from Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland, The Eagle) based on Meg Rosoff’s 2004 novel of the same name.

Strangely enough, Ronan is also playing a character named Daisy in this adaptation of the story about a teenage girl from New York City who travels to England to spend the summer with family in the English countryside. When World War II breaks out and insurgents invade, Daisy and a younger girl named Piper must survive alone in the woods as they try to make it to safety. Tony Grisoni (Red Riding Trilogy) and Jeremy Brock, who wrote The Last King of Scotland for Macdonald previously, are behind the script which sounds like an interesting return to drama for the filmmaker, especially with Ronan’s talents involved.

I love The Good Wife, but I don’t want Alicia with Peter or Will. Is there a possibility of yet another man in her life? — Jenny
ADAM:
Executive producer Robert King says never say never. “The thing we have been trying to honor is what really would happen to Alicia,” he says. “It is difficult to imagine her stepping into the same puddle twice.”

OK, so someone dies on American Horror Story. Tell me who. — Sebastian
NATALIE:
A better question is: Who doesn’t die before the first season ends? But just because it’s called Murder House doesn’t mean the victim in question is killed, or even a victim for that matter. But said death will give you some serious insight on how Season 2 might play out. View full article »

When will Ben (Dylan McDermott) and Vivien (Connie Britton) find out that their daughter, Violet (Taissa Farmiga) is dead? Will Violet learn that Tate (Evan Peters) is the father to one of her mother’s twins? Why are all the ghosts in Murder House so baby crazy?

With just two episodes of FX’s American Horror Story remaining, McDermott tells The Hollywood Reporter that “everything that is outstanding right now is going to be resolved; we’ll cross the t’s, dot the i’s.”

“Ben is just hanging on by a string – as is Vivien,” he says of the couple, who have had to deal with rape, home invasions, creepy neighbors and the spirits inside the haunted abode. “With everything that’s happened to their daughter, everything that the Harmons had hoped and wished for in coming to this house has turned to pure shit,” McDermott says.
